450 Bushmaster Followers

Postby Chamber Tactical » Sun May 21, 2017 11:54 am

For the last couple years I have been making Followers for the three big bore AR rounds. It all started after I bought my 450 bushmaster and went looking for magazines. At that time no gun shop that I could find carried magazines, so I pitched the idea of making followers to a friend and that launched a new business, Chamber Tactical. We make these parts in our small shop. We make our own molds and inject the parts ourselves.

After creating a successful Follower, we came up with the idea of making a conversion adapter to quickly and easily convert the AR magazine back to any other caliber that one might have. Now I use the same magazine for my 450 bushmaster and my 223 AR-15's.

We also make a magazine capacity limiting device.

*** Our products work on Mil-Spec Magazines ***

Here are a couple links to our website, some instructional videos we put on YouTube. We also sell on Ebay.

Welcome aboard guys!

Neat design concept. I'm a troubleshooter by trade. When I see two parts where there used to be one, the opportunity for failure doubles. I assume you have already done endurance testing?
I noticed on your web page the bulk order Big Bore follower. Around here we refer to them as "Single Stack" followers but that's just the vernacular. Anyway, are those molded as 1-piece or the same 2-piece design, minus the "Stagger Feed" option?

Yes, two parts where there use to be one, but one magazine where there use to be two, or four, depending on how many different AR calibers you shoot. Then again if you just need a 450 Bushmaster, 458 SOCOM or 50 Beowulf Magazine, this follower is an easy solution. We have sold over a thousand of these with great feedback. I use these in all my AR magazines and have never had a single issue that wasn't my fault.

On another note, I love my 450 Bushmaster upper, it consistently drills soda cans at 100 yards. I hear people talk about feeding issues, but I have never had a problem even with the supplied magazine.

The follower is molded separate form the adapter, if that is what you are asking. If you look at the YouTube video link below you can see exactly how it works.

Just purchased one of these, what magazine do you recommend to put it in? Looking for a one to hold 5 rounds to be legal for hunting in Michigan.

I load up on These when they're on sale for $9.99 (not right now :( ). They come from the same OEM that a lot of brands use.

These Followers are designed to be used with Mil-Spec magazines. As for 5 rounds, I have a magazine limiter device on my website that you can use with Mil-Spec magazines and limit the mag to any capacity you need. Otherwise you would need a 15 round 223 mag. Not positive it would hold only 5 rounds. I believe the Ar Stoner mags are Mil-Spec.
