It still is not as bad as the fully loaded 45-70, 444 Marlin or a 454 Casull. I just deal with it like that. The only worry I have is that the charghin handle latch, and I have the extended one, always lands too close to my nose, which really scares me, but for now nothing happened.
Cheers,
Mad

Wow that is SWEET! I'd love to shoot full auto one of these days.

Just don't start sleeping or showering with it. In my experience I've found that this is somewhat problematic..

Hmmm...apparently a few of us live WAY to far out in the boonies... :o

Re: Recoil. I just use a PAST brand MagShield Plus when firing the big boomers. Works totally great, recoil is vastly reduced. That's not to say other things can be done, but this is way simple. IMHO. I've fired the Mossy 590A1 with Brenneke Black Magics and Remmy 3" 1-1/4oz slugs all morning at the range on occasion, with my own personal self none the worse for wear.

Amen, brother...I'm working on that myself. I'm not exactly "in town" right now, but I'm looking to buy/lease a few acres out where you're talking about. Fun must be had, after all.

Yep! And my playground is less than an hour from Cabelas in Allen! Yet you gotta drive at least one mile or more on a gravel road to find my playground! And that's no kidding. It's almost pointless to wash my truck!
