Re: .450 + 8 yr old = First Deer

When my oldest shot his first last year it was a nice 7 point but not nice enough to mount so I used one of those steel skulls and made him a nice mount for a keepsake. A doe presents a bit more of a challenge. I told him that I could have the butt mounted and he could use it to hold his toothbrush :D ; He declined.

I came up with something simple for him and it may be the first official .450 Bushmaster picture frame. I had the frame from Christmas so I polished some .450 brass and placed them around the frame.

I've seen beer bottle openers made out of the south end of a north-bound white tail... :(

I've seen one that looked like a owl face and then there's these "things".

I think I saw them called swamp critters!

Yikes..Not sure that I could sleep with that thing in the house much less the kids. It looks like a mask. You might could make some extra money wearing that thing up in North Ga walking the streets at night :o .

With my head hung low and my big toe twisting, back and forth, bashfully..."I want one", really I'd love to hang a copy of that, in my Lab..
