Second kill with the 450.... first buck
Posted: Tue Dec 07, 2010 6:51 pmwell set out some alfalfa and corn and a camera day before thanksgiving. did a little predator calling and saw nothing. went back out around 4pm , walked 4-500 yards to where i set the corn and alfalfa out and as soon as i walked up over the hill and look where i put it i saw a 8 point buck standing there getting a bite to eat, he looked up at me as soon as i saw him, then got a 450 bushmaster bullet in the neck and exited his opposite side behind the shoulder. he was kinda facing me when i shot. dropped like a sack of rocks.
he showed up about 20 minutes before i did it from what the camera says.... not the biggest buck but he's my first , and first big game kill for the .450 with no tracking!i'd hate to track a deer in this terrain. shot between Leakey and Campwood in Real county TX. was the quickest hunt i've ever had.
