Well, Stuff happens, particularly to youngsters. The group of guys I Elk hunt with got drawn for 1st rifle in 711 this year and my 14 year old nephew from CO Springs got drawn as well, and drawn for Lone Mesa State park. For his first hunt that's about as good as it gets. One week before the hunt he broke his leg playing Middle School football. Five out of six of us tagged Elk. Would of been a great first hunt. I really missed him. He's young and strong, and we spent a lot of time packing out Elk.
