Southern Indiana Buck

Postby CT Farms » Mon Dec 03, 2012 10:28 pm

Shot this buck Saturday at 11:15am following a doe in a thicket. I want to thank everyone for all the info that is on this site. I like to never got my upper before the season but it finnaly happened a week before gun season. I sighted in 3/4" high at 50 yards and was dead on at 150. Very impressed with the accuracy out to 200 yards. This is a deer killin machine. I wont post the pic of the doe that was with him. I shot her in the back of the neck and it blew her whole face off!

Nice buck. I didn't get my upper in time for season this year but it will be ready for our late season bonus hunt in dec. I'm glad we can finally use a thumper in Indiana.

I shot the buck at 45 yards in a briar thicket. One shot high in the shoulder and he never moved again. Its so funny to see the other hunters that dont keep up on the regulation changes look on there face when they see an AR-15 in the woods...They say "Is that an AR?? you cant use that in Indiana"...
