:D Well it's not a great show of gun & cartridge performance... :? but a .450 kill none the less
I took this little guy (115lbs) yesterday morning; a crazy lookin' six pointer, as a "cull" buck for the sausage grinder. The shot was a 45yd head shot with the H250gr factory load. :P

...and this 145lb 8ptr fell to the BC 45-70 with a H325gr handload to the neck at 90yds on Wednesday :D

...some pic's from Thursday & Friday as well. the izzy comp was confusing the auto focus i think

Way to go DU! I guess that bobcat was looking for some slow moving corn fed squirrels!

Did you see what I saw? It looks like some of those deer had ribbons and bells on them and several looked like they were tied out!

That's our DU-Man, wink.

Way-to-go-old-man!! The reality is, I'm just a bunch jealous..t

:D BM... i have two bobcats that hang around my corn feeders eatin' birds & chipmunks. they don't bother me or the deer so i enjoy watchin' 'um. i called this one in under my box stand and was teasin' him with my fingers until he got bore and left :) :? on another note... my buddy shoots 'um at his feeders and is overrun with coons  go figure!  coyotes...well they get the bullet! 2 so far this season ;)

WC... i posted on another thread (stocks? or hunting mods?) that i was going from the 6 position magpul to an A2 shorty for hunting. well, if you look close you can see it in the pic. it's a little short even for my length of pull + heavy jacket, but its much more rigid & quieter when i'm in my climbers. not sure if its gonna stay or not :|

:o Oh... and i finally had a chance to run some H200gr handloads thru the bm wednesday morn. not bad. no pics or chrony but 3" high poi over the factory 250's and no windage change ;)

Good to see someone is having good luck. I have only been able to go out 3 times this year and have yet to see a single deer. Got one last trip planned at my mom's out in Cumberland,VA on the 27th. Some big deer on her property, even a 12 point albino has been hanging around. Hope to get one this year.

one more 8pt (2 broken) for the 45-70; a 100yd throat shot with a 325gr FTX handload; no tissue damage, almost no blood ;)
