Man, That's one nice hog! bacon, Bacon, BACON!!! You are living my dream. I'm getting ready for my trip to FL. to do the same thing (two or three more weeks!) I can only HOPE that I'm that successful! I assume this was a BANG-FLOP? Thanks for sharing the Photos.

Yessir. He was definitely DRT. He took one shot and flopped. I did a partial autopsy of the hogs skull, thinking I might do a European mount. No. That 250 gr. bullet destroyed the skull. It was devastating.
My buddy down there just sent a bunch of new trail cam photos with another big black boar and a really cool looking grey boar roaming the property. Looks like a return trip may be in order. My buddy thought I should get a shoulder mount done of that black boar, but intending to keep marital peace at home, I opted not to get a mount done. So he's sending me the tusks. It was a great trip.
