100# doe took all the energy of the 450B

I took a medium sized doe at 75 yards yesterday head on right as she was in mid-stomp having discovered me. The round cut through her front arm bone prior to entering her chest. Ended up at the udder just about to exit the skin. This is the first 450 deer that did not have an exit wound, but it did travel quite a distance. I extracted the bullet and it looked almost the diameter of a quarter but not quite... seemed to be remarkably intact for a Hornady. unfortunately I left it on the skinning rack and therefore can't weigh it. Anyway, when I hit her she flew up in the air and backwards like the bad guys do in the movies when they get shot by Dirty Harry. I know a 100# doe doesn't sound like something that should be on the trophy wall, but since she contained a 450B, I felt she was deserving...

Congrats! Glad to see you were successful on your hunt and now have meat in the freezer!

Picture was taken by trail cam just after impact with a 450 bushmaster round. Was surprised to get the picture. She rolled over and ran about 25 yds with no lungs and dropped dead. :P :D :D
