First post to this forum but have lurked for quite some time. Not a monster moose but a wonderful eater. He was shot at 45 yards on a dead run and collapsed in his tracks. Image

Welcome aboard Jwalk!

Nice eater. Any post mortem images from inside? We're always interested in terminal performance.

Well done thanks for posting. That's a big animal. What bullet did you put him down with?I have taken several good sized deer here with the factory Hornady 250 FTX.

No pics of that unfortunately it was dark by the time we got it on the trailer. What I can say is the lungs were all tore up and the cavity was a big bloody mess. The bullet did not pass through and the hornady 250 gr. ftx was extremely effective. One shot dropped him and he expired quickly and cleanly.

Very nice! Was that with factory ammo, or handloaded?

Very cool!

I'm surprised that the bullet stayed together. I've had the factory 250ftx blow up in three different deer so I switched to 200gr Barnes.
