A big black bear getting into our garbage. Looks like I'll be filling a bear tag with the .450 this week if I get lucky. Hopefully I'll fill a cougar tag with the one that has been roaming around the property as well.

Keep your windows closed. I went to a house a couple weeks ago that had two cubs get into the kitchen through an open window. The broke into another house the next week and were put down to DOW. What a shame.

Hopefully we fill a black bear tag this weekend so we dont have to worry about it. I have a 2 year old Daughter, she is never outside alone but the bear and cougar must go since I have tags for both to fill and a .450 that hasn't killed anything bigger than a coyote. It was fairly large, maybe 300+lbs.

They recently gave us "bear proof" trash cans here.
Havent ever seen one. Been working here over 10 years.
Niegbors claim they saw one.
Was probably just a stray dog with webbed feet in need of grooming.

We build bear-proof dumpster lids at the fab shop where i work. They go to the nat'l forest campgrounds, lakes, etc. here in northern az. They aren't very beefy, just 14ga, but they say the bears here don't like to chew on steel. They chomp and scratch right through the plastic lids.

Placement on that was wrong, I meant for the weight of the bear. Me and and a buddy saw him yesterday but he got our wind when the breeze shifted. We'll be back at it again today/this evening.
