And we are done!

I don't think we did too bad! And yes mine is the baby!! Dad and Shayna showed me up this year! Dads was 75 yards away Shayna's was 280 yards and mine was 262 yards. By the way I pushed both those nice bucks to them LOL

Oh and the 450 done well! My deer dropped in it's tracks so hard and fast that it landed on all 4 of it's feet. It looked like it was still alive when I got up to it but it sure wasn't the bullet passed clear through so i can't comment on what it looked like.

Nice, indeed! A through-and-through at 262 yards, with DRT...wow! I guess that should calm anyone's fears about the 450b's performance... :D

Factory load or handload???

It was one of my 300 grain SST handloads. My gun has never seen a factory round :D

Your thought is why I have hosted our 2011 hunting contest..to get these guys' heads around the notion that as long as you know the range you can adjust the sights or use a different pin, etc., and go for the distance, with enough juice to decide any issue when the bullet gets there.

Yup, I have many customers, that have killed deer, bear, elk, at ranges well over 400yds, but ya gotta think about ballistics differently and get over the notion that this is only a 200yd gun, which has been spread by those guys that shoot the other big bores.

So, how 'bout it Stealthshooter, from your experience here, do you think there is more room under the gas pedal, to kill further out, or do you think your load was all done at your 262yds.??? Do you think better performance could be had with other bullets/loads and greater ranges??..
