I've posted once, but wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Chad and I'm a husband and father of 6. We live in North Idaho and I'm an engineer for a suspension products company. I built my first AR a couple of years ago (5.56) because I love building things from scratch or parts and love shooting, fishing, hunting, outdoors. I learned a lot and love the platform. Next I built a dedicated .22lr for plinking, it's a blast to shoot. Now I'm building a 450BM upper now and have found a lot of great info here, so thank you! I don't reload, but would like to start learning. I just don't have budget for the equipment right now.

This is the barrel I just ordered. Do you have any feedback or thoughts on it yet?

Glad I found this board. Just ordered my AR upper in 450 BM. Looking forward to learning more about the cartridge and it's capabilities.

Thanks.

Hello gentlemen,
New member from Mississippi, retired Leo, and new 450b AR enthusiast. I built my rifle about 2 years ago with a 16” tromix bolt and barrel, nib carrier and strike eagle 1-8 scope. I used info from this board (I was lurking then) for the build. It turned out beautifully. With factory hornady 250g and black butterfly 160s, the accuracy mimicks hoots pet load. Glad to be here and thank you all for the info I lifted from you all in the past. :D

Hello all, Just recently purchased a BCA 16 inch upper. Found this site afterward looking for info. Finally mounted scope the other day, strike eagle 1-6. Hopefully next weekend I can take it out and zero it in.

Started with a Henry SIngle Shot in 450B, quickly switched to a BCA upper with modified gas system as it was badly over gassed for use with my DA Suppressor. Certain I'll learn a lot here.
