IMPO, the 5.56/223 can be very effective on Texas Whitetails.
In the hands of a skilled shooter, and the proper ammunition, the
5.56/223 placed in the right spot, the smaller bodied deer don't stand
a chance. But I would probably not shoot an Indiana whitetail or
a Colorado Muley with a 5.56/223. Most S. Texas Whitetails are
a bit on the scrawny side with some nice racks. And I know a few
guys who have put plenty of hog and deer on the table with this
Cartridge.
Here in Tx we can hunt deer with centerfire 22 caliber.
But I would rather use the 450 Bushmaster or something
In a .27 caliber or higher for Deer.

I bought a Bushnell Red Dot Scope 1x32 (Trophy) at a gun show in almost-new condition (still in box, no obvious signs of wear). The glass shattered on the 7th round out of the Thumper. I was honest with the company and told them I was not the original owner. They would not repair or replace it, but did offer me a discount on a new one.

I have about 50 rounds through on the new one (same model) and no problems. My brother was shooting 6 inch groups (standing!) at the range at 100 yrds. I can't do that - yet.

I have had extremely bad luck with Bushnell. I eventually replaced
All of them with Simmons and have had no problems. My thumper
Has a Nikko Stirling and my 5.56 XM15 has a pine ridge.
No more bushnells for me.

The only Bushnells of noteworthy performance in my hands are the Elite 4200 line. Bausch & Lomb descendants. Also, the Yardage Pro I got to try (but not keep) was pretty cool, but pricey.

Good point Hoot, you guys need to keep in mind that Bushnell is just like most of the scope makers, in that, they all seem to have different quality lines, for different quality needs and Bushnell's best, is the best..t

Was this the one that looks similar to the trijocon?
