250 Gr. FTX
40 Gr. Lil' Gun
Factory type crimp
WSR primers.
100 yards with elbows resting on the bench. 3 shots to the right were sighters, adjusted scope and fired the 5. I love how accurate this thing is!

Nice shooting. I bought cheap sand bag rest at Walmart for 25 bucks. It comes with front and rear bags, they really helped me tighten up my groups and my thumper doesn't slam my elbows into uneven boards on the bench anymore.

Thanks, Guys.
I have a rest but I was turkey hunting on my land and figured at the last minute I'd bring the Thumper to sight in and didn't bring the rest. I had my jacked folded up under the elbows so there's still skin on them!
(No turkeys by the way, the damn things were totally silent. Saw a lot of deer though.

What did your brass look like after you shot, (Sooting)?

There was a little sooting, less than with the 38 grain loads.

With the 250gr FTX loads, which do you find to be more accurate in your gun: 38.0gr or 40.0gr Lil' Gun? What length barrel are you shooting? And, by the way, that is a really great 100 yrd. target for resting on your elbows!

Accuracy is about the same. I'm shooting the 16inch upper on a stock bushmaster (.223) lower.
Thank you, I was very happy with the accuracy, this is truly the most powerful and accurate rifle I've ever owned and if I want to shoot more inexpensively with the same trigger and practice a lot all I have to do is switch back to the original .223 upper in less than a minute I'm rocking. LOVE IT! :D
