looking for a red dot or a holographic site that will hold up to the 450bm .hopfully in the $150 area, i have a hard time justifying 400-500 for a non- magnifying site. my shoots will be within 75yds mostly inside 50yds, needs to be fast target acquisition, piggies are fast! been using a bsa on the 6.8 works good while it does but only hold up for about a year, dont think they would last but about a day on thumper, any suggestions?

Have you looked at these http://www.midwayusa.com/product/151224 ... ount-matte. I would think that they would hold up fine to the thumper, because they have such little mass to react to the recoil.

I haven't tried this sight on thumper yet, but it seems to do well on my Ruger PC 9. Been meaning to try it on my 450 but just too busy with other projects. It's very user friendly.

The problems I have noticed with the cheap red dot sights are, a lot of flair in the dot and lense materials that really cuts down on the light once it gets dim outside.

I saw this one on a short-barrel 12ga. firing slugs at the gun club recently...you might consider it? Gets good reviews, too. The guy firing with it didn't seem displeased...MidwayUSA product number 717096

the burris fast fire sights are awsome on anything I have one on my xdm, 12ga pump turkey gun and, one on my 450bm, I have had nothing but trouble free service with them. they even make a special protective mount simular to eotec's just for ar's.

I see a lot of those Burris Fast Fire sights on open class pistols at action pistol matches. When you think about what happens when they are mounted on a pistol slide, it seems like life on a .450B would be a cake walk. I have an Ultra Dot Micro, (similar design, different manufacturer), mounted at 45 deg at the rear of the receiver rail on my .450. Probably only a few hundred rounds with it mounted, but so far it's holding up just fine.
