Yup and you can get them cheap. They hold up to a pellet spring-gun's recoil, which believe it or not is the worst of recoil conditions. Here just one example and I am sure you can do better.

I like the 1.5x6 best of all, because the things I hunt are usually hunting me and Close-Fast shots are easy on 1.5x, saving 6x for looking the critter over. And if sighted-in with a 200yd zero, you are good go go to 240yds. In other words, with a 200yd zero, a our factory 250gr @2200fps will stay inside of a 10" circle (u must allow for wind) from zero (0) to 240yds (the bullet under this example never goes higher or lower than 5" of point of aim) and best of all, we absolutely do have enough oomph left over to satisfy any issue, on anything period, no excuses. Try that with your other sub-munition training rounds, in other lessor calibers..

I'm with you guys on the nikko's, I have a 4-16 on my 243, and a 6-24 on my 6.5 creedmoor, and I love them both. Looking at a howa 1500 in 204 ruger that's wearing a 3-12(I think), but I'm running out of money this trip home.
Go big... or go home.
