There is no justice in the justice system.

Any way to send the detective towards the guy you got it from?

If it was kiddie porn, they would have already traced your computer stuff.
They won't make the effort for this because you are the easy catch.

He should be glad your insurance squared him up.
I've been screwed 3 times with insurance.

Something that expensive should have something to identify it.
Even with obvious markings gone.

Good luck with that. Fight it as much as you can.

If I was a detective, my first step would be to investigate thermal outfitters .com. Who else knew you had that? Who else would have had any idea?
Rent a scope to some guy. Steal it back. Make the guys insurance pay. Then start a conversation with the victim and through a con, vaguely encourage the guy to look on line for a used one.
Then post a "busted" scope on Craig's list through some third party accomplice.
When the victim bites, sell him the crap scope. Then call the cops and drop a dime that the victim may still be in possession of the scope. The cops watch and see the victim post a scope on line. And BOOM. There the victim is with a nightmare on his hands.

That's pretty creative 'Dawg....
You seem to know a lot of details.
Hhhmmmmm....
Maybe we should check you out ;)

On a unrelated note. I was pulled over this morning and asked about warrants for an exgirlfriend that
I haven't spoken to in over two years. Guess she didn't really pay that ticket she lied to me about. He was polite and
said he would try to remove my plate number from her info.

Glad to see what is important . I can't get a stop sign replaced that was run over 3 years ago.
Even after contacting the governor.

( mulling over details...) maybe that explains the scrapes on my car that she " know nothing about".

In order to catch the con man, you have to think like one. All good LEOs and Security Specialists have creative criminal minds, which explains why I purify water.
