I have the Nikon Omega 1.65-5X36 on my 20" 450BM and my Son has the same scope in 3-9X on his 16" 450. We both have used these scopes on several successful elk hunts in heavy timber country, so our shots are seldom more than 150yrds or so. That said, We're both thrilled with the performance of our scopes. We have both tested the 250BDC feature out to 250yrds with factory loads, and it is right on as designed, & the eye relief is right at 5". (Factory load 450BM bullets and velocities are almost identical to those of an in-line muzzleloader.) I don't think you'd be going wrong to get either of these scopes , if you can find one for sale. My understanding is that Nikon has discontinued them, but a few are still out on the retail market.
If you can find one for under $200, I'd say that it would be worth it. Any more than that, & I'd go with the Leupy Ultimate Slam scope just for the Leupy warranty. You can find them for around $300 - $320 or so. I also recently put one of the Redfield Revolution 2-7X33mm scopes with the "Accu-Range" reticle on my AR-10. I haven't hunted with it yet, but having shot it on a 300yrd range, I'd bet that scope has sufficient eye relief (3.7-4.2") and would be fantastic on the 450BM too. Judging from its performance on the .308, I'd say you could easily get the ranging reticle to perform on the Bushy too. You'd just have to force yourself to shoot it enough to work out the appropriate ranges for the reticle. (Not a bad situation to be in either.) They are going for around $180 - $200 & only weigh 11oz. They also have the same lifetime warranty from the Leupold company at a much cheaper price. Hope this helps!

Ask a Syrian why his gun rights are so important !
Then, ask yourself why any Politician really wants to take our's away !!!
