Has anyone tried the UTG qd mounts? I usually agree that you get what you pay for and these things are pretty
Inexpensive. The reviews I have read are very good, but I'm not sure if anyone has put it on a .450

I have a members 450 here with a $25 set off ebay. We were both a little skeptical on them, but for the 30-40 rounds I've put thru it, so far so good.

I went with the fixed PEPR mount because once I get Thumper dialed in she will stay that way. I have no real need for the detachable mount on a dedicated hunting rifle. The fixed mount gives me the security I want . Found it used in mint condition for a good price on FleaBAY. It's a nice solid mount, beautifully made. They come with an extra set of ring tops (one set is round, the other pair are hex shaped and have little tactical rail mounts on top)

The Burris PEPR (30mm) mount gives you JUST ENOUGH clearance to mount the 3-12x56 Vortex Crossfire II Hog Hunter scope on the Bushmaster XM-15. Only about a 1/2" gap between the bottom of the objective and the top of the rifle's forward hand guard.
