I have 3 of them. I have no complaints. Track great, as I have used a 3 x 9 mounted on a 6.8 on 600 yard targets --- always returns to zero. I bought my 2 x 7's for $129.00 each. Glass is good and clear, great eye relief and good in dawn/dusk. Just what you would expect from Leupold.

Since Leupold owns the Redfield name (and these are made/assembled in USA), IMO this is simply re-branding by Leupold to compete with the less expensive scopes from overseas. By re-branding, they wouldn't mess up their perceived quality and pricing strategy with the standard Leupold line.

I have one with the Accu-plex and not quite sure what to think about it. I wanted to try it, but it is too busy for me.

My 450B still wears a Leupold 4X on it, with a small red dot mounted on the tube. I want the VX-R 1.5 x 4 Pig Plex with the lighted dot.

That's what I've read about The Redfields. A no frills Leupold, made in the US for the price of Chinese glass, has to be a winner. Think Redfeild will be my choice next time around.

My Dad loves the 3-9 Revolution I got him. He hasn't gotten out to shoot it yet. It's on a Browning BAR .30-06

Natchez has a fantastic clearance sale going on Simmons Scopes. I just ordered a couple for a rifle that needs an upgrade and one for a future AR.

ebusa wrote:So far my new scope for my Thumper is AWESOME!!!!! I use this rifle for mainly deer hunting.

I sold my Ziess Conquest and got a Redfield Revolution 2x7. The Redfield is 2 inches shorter, and about 5oz lighter!!! Eye relief is so much better too! Affordable little scope and it's dead nutz at 100 yards.

I'm sorry but I've been looking at that picture of your Thumper and I just can't resist saying that AR looks a bit ironic next to the baby doll in the crib and a womens shoe......  I'm sorry, the gods of twisted made me do it.

I'm using a 2-7x modern Redfield, and it work very well on my 16" Bushmaster. The magnification ring is a 'short throw' version, and after about 1500 rounds I see NO problems at all with it. I figure the low power is good is the woods, and 7x is great for 'playing' from the bench!

Just over 200 rounds with the Barska on the 450 and no problems so far.

I mounted a Nikon monarch African 1-4x24 in a QD Burris pepr mount. It has German #4reticle. Zeroed at 196 yards it will be in 6 inch kill zone out to 300 yards according to nikons spot on ballistics software. Plus the reticles thick bar is dead on 396 yards. Got it from optics planet for $250.00, mount was $80. I love it and can't wait to kill something with it. Optics planet will let you bid your own price, I got a monarch 5-20x42mm for $450 they were asking $520(on sale) retail is like 800 on the scope.

This is what I ended up getting. http://www.theriflescopestore.com/wewegrslri3x.html It will be interesting to see where the ballistic marks end up.
