What barrel did you go with if you don't mind me asking?

Im in queue with Black Hole Weaponry currently. Trident had told me last week they are @ 6 weeks, Black Hole says the same, so I kept my order where it was.

I ordered a 18" 11/16 x 24 TPI thread end, plain jane barrel.

Wow, I guess the 450 sales are getting up there. :D

FWIW, I took delivery of a Franklin Armory 20" 1:24 450b barrel a little over a week ago and I am impressed with both the finish and performance for such a reasonable price. The bad news is you need to bookmark the 450b barrel page on their web site and visit it every day to catch one. Possibly twice a day. Getting bolt is not so tough as they have some in stock right now.

That's a pretty good price for just the bolt too!

I could drive to Ft. Worth and buy off their shelves, but the fuel involved would cancel out any shipping or savings.

I opened my inbox today to the fantastic news of my barrel is shipping today! Approx ONE WEEK since I placed the online order (YMMV).

When it arrives Mike, let me know if it's nitrided or just the regular phosphate finish. If it's nitrided and there are still more available, I may get a backup myself. I really like my nitrided barrel and gas block. Easy cleanup.

It sure looks like it has the nitride finish in the picture on their site. http://franklin-armory.myshopify.com/co ... rmory-bolt
Maybe that is just other calibers though.

Well, all the planets aligned and I was able to complete my upper this morning.

Black Hole Weaponry 18" barrel
DPMS 7" free float tube
YHM lo pro gas block
DPMS thick side de-featured upper
VLTOR charging handle
DPMS/Trident BCG
LaRue Tactical QD scope mount
Nikon Omega 1.65-6x scope (muzzleloader, now NLA)
Ross Schuler muzzle brake (11/16 x 24, Type 1)

I have a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot for it as well. As cheap as those tiny sights are, they are nearly indestructible and offer plenty of accuracy off hand for hogs at close ranges.
