I am redoing my 450 with a crosshill technologies ambidextrous upper and a Franklin armory billit lower this rifle is just for hunting and shooting at the range. Would like any input you guys have I'm a big fan of the 450.

I recently installed the ambi Raptor charging handle.
I like it, but I haven't gotten any range time with it.
If yours has that side charge handle, won't do you any good.

I have a couple of the windham weaponry ambi safety selectors.
Very pleased with those.
I have also installed a couple of the Norgon ambi mag release.
Pleased with those also.

My brother likes the "bad" lever on his bolt catch.
I've not cared much for that one, but just preference.

I have seen a mod somewhere that you machine ( dremel ) your lower to add a bolt catch on
the right side that trips the standard one.

My pof 308 lower came with an integrated ambi bolt catch. Works real nice.

I think San tan tactical makes an ambi lower also.

I'm thinking of getting another " cheese grater" free float handguard for my next zombie slayer build, from Olympic arms,
but I may go with something less aggressive because I will be painting it.

Thanks for the info on the ambi controls. I am using a midwest Key mod forend and a magpul Prs stock. It got a little over my head so I'm having a gunsmith assemble it because I didn't want to run into any issues and mess anything up.

In Theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In Practice, there is.

Did you do this yourself or did you buy it with a side charger?

I'm thinking of installing, a side charger, on my shop gun??

I bought all the parts separate crosshill technologies upper and a Franklin armory billit lower. I had a gunsmith check it over and torque everything to spec. Some of the assembly I wanted him to do to make sure it was correct.
