During the last month I've been collecting parts for a 450 Bushmaster AR build.
I ordered the 16" barrel/bolt combo from Brownells, made by saturn. It has a 3/4x24 threaded muzzle so the hunt was on for a brake to fit that thread and bore size.
The thread size is a bit odd and there isn't much out there. But..
I recalled Kahntrol Solutions had a display at last years Michigan Guardian match and was set to give them a call. While looking up thier phone number on line I found their website and low and behold they had one listed on their web page!!! https://kahntrol.com/ so no special ordering was needed. After talking to Mr Kahn, I had it and a pair of properly sized crush washers on there way to my door.
A early view of the sub-assembly from the muzzle's big black hole.
The the upper Receiver is a Mega SBU... I decided to get a Geissele Reaction Rod. I needed the tool because the SBU is quite a bit different in size from a standard AR and wasn't going to fit in my AR-15 vise block.
Got it together last week... Now time to see how it shoots
Playing with lilgun and 225 hornady ftx's shows potential. I had some hornady factory ammo (not pictured) that I tried as well and it seemed to be holding under 2 MOA while getting my scope zeroed.
