250gr. XTP boolit, unknown fps (emailed them for that detail...), decent price.

I suppose this is the particular boolit, listed in Hornady's handgun list:

https://www.hornady.com/bullets/handgun ... -hp-xtp#!/#specs

Anyone have a current Hornady reloading book? It should show the recommended velocity range for this one...

Hornady manual lists the velocity as 800-1600fps. Thinking they should have went with the 240 or 300 XTP Mag bullets.

yep. xtp mag would've been my choice for 450b speeds...this one seems to be for 45 colt velocities? hmmm...

if they're using #45200, thats the one hornady gave me a no-go on for the 450 due to safety reasons

i was inquiring about the 250 xtp (#45200) and hornady gave me a very specific warnring about the possibilitys of base deformation on firing giving the risk of a pressure event as the bullet may grip into the bore more due to such.

i'm not suggesting that its not possible, just that since we're working outside of the design element of these non-mag XTP bullets that care needs to be taken when working with them, and that there may be serious risks associated with the adventure.

I'm ugly enough as it is, i dont need any further marks to scar me up any worse! :)
