This is Kurt Gowdy and we were going to show you bears on this episode of Mutual of Omahas' Wild Kingdom, But we had to stop filming because some guy with a Thumper Rifle blew away the star of the show. It was a "Bang/Flop" ending.
So good night, drive safe. Tip your waitress.

What Hoot said.

Also, owning and shooting the BM450 is what got me into reloading, which for this brass seems to be a pretty straight forward process with a lot of advice available on this forum. I have about 6 different bullets in .452 caliber from 225 to 300 gr, now own a chronograph, and have enjoyed the experience of shooting my own loads and seeing what they do.

OH!.. Let's not forget our adjustable side crimp! Fixed the bullet jump problem and gets thing cookin. 2 crimps side and tapper.
We can also make a small base sizing die by cutting off a 284 die.

How about the people...

Yes, the people. I have never witnessed any other forum anywhere that has people like you see here on this one. The character, maturity, and willingness to share knowledge, the people here far surpass what I have experienced anywhere else.

Thanks guys. You Rock!

What makes it better than a .458?

I have a BM! I don't have a Socom. Much better than the one I don't have. :D

Hoot,

You've just gotta' heck of a way of cutting to the chase!!! Your last post tells it all. Great bunch of people here, and the fact that I love shootin' this thing is the icing on the cake. There are so many different ways to load it, I don't think I'll ever get tired of tryin' different bullets and loadings. The fact that I haven't found any loading with it that isn't at least satisfactory for a 250 yd deer gun just makes me grin every time I take it to the range. The accuracy of some of the loads is really unbelievable in a bullet this size. It never ceases to amaze everyone who looks at the targets. Besides, the power demonstated by the .451 FMJ flatnose bullets at 100 yrds will leave observers standing with their mouths open! Cutting a railroad tie in half at 100 yrds with less than 20 rnds is a truely amazing feat that it accomplishes with ease.

Now for the Cons:

You better be ready to reload and take lots of ammo to the range with you when to go there. Every one of your fellow range members will be wanting to test it out. Unless you reload, that ain't cheap.
