Well the upper made it here today in perfect condition. I mounted it to the DPMS lower I had and it fit tight with no slop. I can now see I will need a new barrel nut, delta ring, spring washer, front cap, and snap ring to swap in the MOE handguard.

I did buy a box of Hornady ammo and plan on putting some rounds thru it tomorrow. Here in Indy at a local gun shop ammo was $33/box. Is that about what .450 ammo sells for everywhere?

I think I'm going to like this thing! :D

$26-$29 is average but you can find it much cheaper on the Internet.

I've been to Palmetto's website. I figured that by the time I paid shipping I'd be about right at the price I paid. I'll check out big supply shop though, thanks!

UPDATE: Man was I wrong. Ended up checking out both websites pricing on 4 boxes. Palmetto ended up being slightly cheaper by $5.00. Total came out to be $26.99/box, $7.00 /box less than what I paid locally. So, 80 rounds on their way!

Looking everywhere online & weighing your options before you bought isn't being an impulse buyer! Good job!

I made it out to the farm today and broke in the .450... a little. Only had 20 rounds, but after the first two I bet I Iooked like the Cheshire Cat. Recoil is not as stout as a 12 ga. more like a 20 ga. to me. Here's a picture of my set up as of right now. I had this scope and had never mounted it on anything. I have a different scope and mount coming from Midway.

This picture is of 10 rounds. Nothing really to brag about as I was shooting only about 35 yards. The upper will group though, even off of an old rickety picnic table!

I think I'll keep it! :D
