Bipod Question

Postby bregier79 » Sat Sep 25, 2010 9:48 pm

Just mounted a Ultimateslam scope on my gun this evening with the Burris PEPR mount. I'm thinking about getting a bipod now. Any recommendations on a good product? Also, I guess I'm a bit confused on how to mount one. Looks like I could screw one into the front sling bolt opening. Will the AR-15 adapters work for this (like the Harris HB5 model)? I'm a long time gun enthusiast with many pistols, standard rifles, and shotguns, but these AR-15 platforms are a bit new to me.

Thanks!

I'm jealous, the old lady won't let me get an Ultimateslam yet. I use a simple cheap Leapers UTG bipod. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/BIPOD200-1.html It works just fine and mounts to the sling swivel. The bipod itself is weaver and the sling mount is a weaver adapter. I used to have the sling mount on my hunting rifle and could switch between that and my AR (my 223 upper has a weaver rail system). If only the gas block on the 450 had the weaver mount on the bottom you could use a simple weaver style bipod like http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/BIPOD203-1.html
