Recoil nuthin. When I shot my whitetail last weekend I watched through the scope as the bullet impacted. If that's not tame recoil I'll invite you do try the same thing with my heavy weight tactical .308, just ain't gonna happen and a .308 is anything but a mule. The only change for recoil I made was the Wolff extra power buffer spring; anything else IMHO is unnecessary.

Dittos...as a shotgunner of 50+ years, I've thought the 450b recoil was really nothing to worry much about, even with an unmodified rig. I did put a Limbsaver slip-on pad on the A2 type stock that came with mine, just to cover up the meatgrinder buttplate (why is that still being used???), with the added benefit of making the recoil even easier to handle. Gunnut's mod along with the various other things mentioned on this forum can really make 450b recoil a non-issue, if one is sensitive to such things.

I talked to Gunny today and he has finished a new A2 prototype "Recoil-less" stock with a new twist. I should have my hands on it in a few days for testing. Stay tuned.
