I’m a happy camper!! Found some good loads for 3 bullets today Loading at the range!! :D
All cases. Fed. 215 primers .464 side crimp, ,474 taper. AA1680. 2.8” c.o.a.l.

325grn Barns Busters 1689 – 65grns =2584 fps, 58 e.s. not compressed.

Resized Hornady’s .458” to .4515” Thanks W.C!!
325grn FTX 1680 – 63grns = 2548 fps, 26 e.s. compressed.

This is the one used in the 458 Winchester Magnum.
350grn Interlock 1680 – 64grns = 2480 fps, 23 e.s. compressed. YES! YES! YES! We DID IT! Out of a 20” barrel!! :o
My Lee book shows the 458 W.M. / 350grn @ 2445 fps.
Hornady book shows the 458 W.M. / 350grn @ 2500 fps.

That 64gr load was a medium pressure load, as described to me by Gunny. He has room for at least 2 more grains of powder, wherein, if he doesn't exceed safety margins he will easily exceed the 458wm/24" barrel, with a 450LM using a 20" barrel.

It is safe to say, that his loading has already surpassed the 458wm, if the 458 were using a 20" barrel. As it is 20" vs 24" the little 20 incher is right up against the 24" in velocity and his results were with only one powder, and how many follow-up shots, is he capable of!?

The following was compiled from AmmoGuide.com using Hornady's 350gr Interlock Bullet.

Notice the Velocities and barrel lengths!

Also Notice that AmmoGuide does not compute for Taylor Knock Out, which by many is a far better predictor (though not perfect by any means) of Terminal results than ft/lbs.

Ed Note: I just put in the Taylor results, keep in mind that the Gunny's TKO number is already at 56 (and going up) for a 20" barrel..t

I just ordered some more Hornady 350grn interlocks. They are a .458 bullet Same one used in the 458 Win Mag.
I need to re size them to .451. All of my sources are out of stock. Does anyone have a sizing die that they can lend me?

Managed to find a zero and shoot these before my scope failed. Looks like the 230FMJ & resized 350 interlocks are stable with the 1 in 40 twist. Keep in mind I'm the reason for high cap mags!
