Hey Gunny,

Any word on progress of your project? Been a month and a half, just saying. ;)

And i thought Barnes bullets are expensive. Look at there 50 cal sabot bullets for muzzleloading. I almost garuntee they are .452 or .451. Might be worth a call to find out. I've gotten pretty good at throwing sabots away lately.

You've got a point. They do look really long. I got side-tracked and was looking at the Hydra-con not the Match/Hunter.

Jus' wonnerin'....who's going to make the barrels for this baby after WC and Gunny give birth to it? Am I correct in assuming that this "safari-grade" Thumper will basically be a re-barreled/-bolted AR-10 platform? I'm dreaming of a 325gr Barnes Buster coming out the tube at 3000....oh, baby; oh, baby....sorry....I need some private time now...

Been working on a Special recoil reducer and buffer. I know yall will love.
The barrel is the only custom part on the 450LM. Made from scratch out of a piece of certified high pressure pipe by LeMag Firearms. aka "The WildCatter"..............and his horse "Bigin'
Everything else is off the shelf including the bolt. 308 and 284 case heads are the same.
