I bet the wife wasn't too happy with the Christmas tree accident!

I've never had trouble installing the front pin, replacing one is different story. I use small curved picks. For finding detente I have small exstendable magnet. Swipe around like a blind man and they tend to get found. Smallest part I have lost so far is c-clip on dustcover rod, haven't found it yet. Replaced it with wire from twist tie, works great. I think a magnetic billed cap and apron would probably work well also. Or maybe a enclosed cabinet like a media blaster cabinet.

That C clip would definitely be tough to find.

At work, we call C and E clips "Oh Jesus!" clips. ;)
I bought one of those Harbor Freight Bulk Assortment boxes of them, along with a Bulk Assortment box of Roll Pins and Inside/Outside Split Rings. When the nearest hardware store is a 40 minute "time out", the gas I saved has already paid for them.

Yeah, that's me Ghost Dog, I tried to get the same name over there, but it was already taken. I haven't posted a lot there, but I've been wanting to take a coyote with my 6.8 and it is a great resource. I posted the link a couple places since not everyone sees the same forums.

Hoot- I'm glad I haven't lost any of those, but I'd keep a supply too if the nearest hardware store was that far away. I don't keep all the small parts for my ARs, but I do keep several of the parts I am most likely to need or lose.
