Marketing doesn't sell the steak. They sell the sizzle. New is often the main sizzle component at the beginning. People have short memories given all the new sizzles constantly being thrust upon them. Even when a manufacturer doesn't have anything new to offer, they fabricate a rehashing of the old and call it new for the illusion of sizzle. The 450B had significant sizzle back a few years, for the obvious reason of it's unique (at the time) caliber and because we weren't being inundated with new offerings as much back then. Now, it's just reliably good steak.
