Actually, I was hoping the image would keep this discussion going forward, with you filling in some more of the blanks. Yes, I suspected it was generated by a mathematical modeling program, give how tidy the curve looks. For me, it was thought provoking when I stumbled upon it while reading a thread about using a pigtail gas tube. For me, there are too many variables in this equation to fill in without some givens for a few of them. Perhaps the big picture is beyond explaining without all of the interested parties being versed in fluid dynamics, which I for one am not. I am however captivated by internal ballistics and still capable of absorbing a well worded, metaphor rich explanation, given my broad, but not necessarily deep grasp of the physical sciences.

Whoa, I sound like some government double-speak spinmaster... C'mon Tim, don't make me beg... ;)

Ok, it's a little late for me to be thinking, but here are somethings I helped generate. It addresses all we've been talking about. For some reason I can't get these to upload, maybe someone else can. I've got computer gremlins going on over here. But the Hoot-Man is at near begging, so here goes. Just a word of caution, these two url's are going to confuse the issue, but they will further explain the complexities..t

These next two dance all around our issue, but will be inspiring, none-the-less..t

And last but not least, Jim Sullivan and I talked about this 15 years ago. It was my suggestion, at the time I had a "Four" column 22mag, magazine, that was 40 rds, it was very short, in fact, pistol length. I hope the below mag will work for us. Just a little Factoid here, Jim was part of a Blue-Ribbon Engineering Team, that tried their best to disprove and excoriate my work on the 45 Professional. This work was part of a Wayne State University Study. They all ended up buying a Pro instead..t

Ok, you wanted Hard Core, you got it. It wonders over a plethora of topics, but they are all related..t

Not to be overly nosy, but what is your mission for that gas limiter? Do you plan on having too much gas or do you have too much gas now ? or?
