How Do You Disassemble a Lower?

Postby Texas Sheepdawg » Tue Dec 07, 2010 8:17 am

I was wondering how to take out the trigger and hammer,
Remove the safety and remove the magazine catch properly
without causing any damage or having springs flying in my :?: face.
What essential tools will I need? :?:
Upon reassembly, are there any tips or tricks?

Thank you so very much! That looks pretty simple! But I guess I had better round up my brass pin
punches. Now I am really considering just building my own lower.
This short video definitely answered a bunch of questions that I had about detents and springs.
Thanks again.

Way-to-go-SD, now you're into it, no need to be dissuaded from anything you can do to this platform. By doing it yourself, it'll make you way more familar with the system and how you might troublee shoot a problem. For all you others with similar questions, there are so many videos on the net, I swear. I use YouTube allot for instruction, for my new guys..t

Put it in a bag and you might not have to go searching for springs all over the room.

I had a spring shoot out of my new spikes a few weekends ago, took me forever to find it.

Then I decided to work on my fs2000 and a spring shot out of it too.
