I read they are just moving out of ME. To another one of their sister
Locations. They aren't going out of business. Yeah it sucks they will
Put those folks out of work, but they must have a business reason
Why they are moving. Maine, from what I understand is not the greatest
Place to have a firearms business or any kind of manufacturer business.
Could it be that the politics were driving their cost of doing business
Up?

Maine is a great place to live, but a very tough place to make a living. The jobs will be missed. The business climate is also tough, regulation and high energy costs do nothing to help the fact that the state is pretty far out of the major distribution paths in the US. I love the place, and still own a house there. However, I've been down south for 5 years to make a living.

Buisness enviro sucks yes, We just went through a Giant Toilet Flush. All three branches of gubmint went from full dem control to rep control... Looking foreward to the future for once.
As far as a firearms buisness, We are highest in guns per capita in the lower 48. We have been lucky to squash all new gun laws as they peak their heads up...
