What a DEAL!

Postby YoteAddict » Mon Dec 27, 2010 9:08 pm

It was the day after Christmas at Sportman's Warehouse
Expecting only to find deals as tiny as a mouse
When what to my wondering eyes did appear
A Bushmaster LR-308 carbine for $799, oh dear

The price made the decision for me. Bought one. I recall that was the price that I paid for my first Colt rifle many years ago (in .223 of course).

I hope I like it as much as I like the price.

I'd like to read posts of other great deals you found and took advantage of this Christmas season...

WTG Yote! :o I saw one at Gander Mountain with the SS Bull barrel for like $1050.00 the other day.

That deal would have made my wife and me not speak to each other for a while. ;)

I would trade my G3 for one any day.

Great platform to experiment with other .308 parent case calibers also.

WTG!

Thanks Hoot!

Your quote below struck a chord:

I came right in the house and immediately confessed to my wife concerning my "day after Christmas" DEAL. Needless to say, she wasn't too interested in my explanation. But she doesn't seem to hold a grudge today. I am trying to work it off by taking care of her car and other stuff around here. Normalcy has been restored...

good score.

I'm slowly gathering the pieces for a AR10 type build, dunno if it'll be a 6.5 or 308 just yet.
