My first true interest in firearms came late in life for me.
I got a Taurus 357 revolver for home defense. It grew from there.
It works well with 357mag, 38 special, 38/357 rat shot, and even 38super.

It would be really cool if your upper would function with the shot shells also.
I envision a revolver , ar, lever gun combo.

Think it could cycle the 38 supers?
( it was more of an experiment for just in case, with my revolver).

Now you got me thinking......
A lever gun that uses ar mags.....

That's it WC....
You gotta move to Texas so my ideas and yours can make you money, and pay for my toys.

Ready for some all weather improvements on your range ,Robin?

Revolvers, with moon clips and other gizmos, can be made to shoot rimmed, rimless, even rebated rim cartridges. AFAIK, no one has made a reliable system that will load and extract different types of "rims" from a chamber. I am not sure that the ROI would be acceptable for such a system.

But the lever gun from AR mags, that is interesting enough to think about.

I was awake all last night thinking about the best way to design another shotgun part. With that and the FNS designs, comps and these dang ARs...

Would this work for a 16 inch barrel to get velocity back up to 2200-2400 fps with proper reloading. You could call it the 450 camaro.

Lyman, I'm not sure if there would be enough barrel left after the port to cycle reliably and for the same reason, not be able to take advantage of the additional time afforded by the longer gas cycle. I'm sure WC will wade in with what he knows versus what I'd suspect though. Stay tuned.

I decided I wanted to try the 450 Corvette in a little different fashion. A ground up instead of a conversion. Just have to assemble, proof and then build a comp and decide on a barrel finish. Made the bolt, modded the receiver and extension, built barrel from a blank and set the headspace a tad more conservative than the factory. Hope to send off to Wildcatter early January for the gas system and then I plan to be sending 300gr+ slugs downrange with more accuracy and velocity than the 450BM could ever hope to achieve. I guess we will see if my assumptions prove true.

That looks great Mark, my 450Cs were supposed to be here today. My rural mailman is a gun guy too... I wonder if he got a Special Christmas gift? Keep us informed as to your progress.
