Welcome aboard Rutroe and thanks for the alert.

The sale is only for the 16" model. There must have been a lot of Cabelas fans waiting for it to go on sale as it is already backordered. It won't be long before Bushmaster has their spring sale and Bud's has them on special from time to time as well as a couple of other distributors.

I have a Colt 7.62x39 flattop and a Bushmaster 223 stainless 20 inch flattop AR's . I wanted one with some more "ooomph", and a buddy of mine has been raving about his 450 and the results he has had filling a deer crop damage permit.
So I back ordered the 450 upper from Cabelas last week. I received an email shortly thereafter letting me know it will ship the last week of February . I might swop out one of my existing lowers ( Colt 6 position or Bushmaster A2 ), or just pony up and get a dedicated lower for the 450 ( suggestions ? ) I've been checking out several on Gunbroker .

Considering it is printed in thier 2011 shooting catalog, I don't think it's a sale.... It's the price!

yeah I seen that in the shooting catalog, but on there webpage it says on sale. So I don't know if it is going to be a regular price or just for the time being.
