450 Bushmaster Build Almost Finished

Postby bgh1441 » Sun Jan 15, 2017 12:41 pm

New to the site been lurking and I trying to read up on magazines for the 450. However I am still unsure of what my best route will be, but need to figure it out asap as the rifle is about ready to go.
Here is the build list
-Aero Gen 2 lower
-Aero Gen 2 M4E1 enhanced upper with 12" handguard
-Aero 1" SPR Ultralight scope mount
-Brownells/Satern 16" Stainless Bull Barrel and bolt, 1-20 twist
-Troy Ind. .936 gas block
-Spikes Tactical Melonited Gas Tube
-Generic LPK
-JMT Saber Drop in Trigger 3.5lbs
-KNS Anti-rotation pins
-Palmetto Bolt Carrier
-Magpul OD Green ACS-L stock
-Magpul OD Green Grip
-Magpul OD Green Trigger Guard
-Vortex Crossfire ii 3-9x50

I haven't decided on a muzzle device yet due to the limited availability of the 3/4-24 threads of the barrel.

Ross can do a 3/4-24 no problem.

+1 on a Bartz mag, I have stoners too which took a little tweaking, Bartz was load and go.

I'll check Ross out. I also still have to check with a friend that owns Innovative Industries LLC and see if he can do one as he makes others for the ar15 and ar10 platforms. I ordered a thread protector for $9 for now just so I don't have to worry and can get some range time. I plan on contacting Guns Galore to see if they have Bartz Mags for me to pick up one for myself and my father, who ended up building the identical rifle after seeing mine. In the mean time I think I figured out a solution modifying an old straight 20rd pmag I have laying around JB welding the follower and reshaping to fit the 450.
