New to the forum...not new to the 450. Why buy a .223!!! Anyways, has anyone had any luck in finding a suppressor? I have only found one and it was $2100! Thats about what i have invested in the rifle alone. Just wondering if a round of this size would even benefit with have a suppressor on it.

Well, depends on what you want to do. In europe they use suppressor to keep from scaring away game. Very common. The game doesn't seem to mind the sonic crack! If you want to go sub sonic ammo. Good luck with that! A place I have never been and don't care to go. you will be dealing with very heavy bullets and very reduced charges. Not for amateurs. But, if all you really want to do is reduce the felt muzzel blast then try to get one of these in .453 cal. It basicly redirects the blast down range. I have one in 5.56 and they work.

I knew I had a post with one on here somewhere. http://450bushmaster.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=35&p=550#p550
Is that the same one you found? I've talked to a few shops but prices were around the same. I kinda just left it at that because in Washington they're legal to own but illegal to use (what an idiotic law).

I don’t really have a need for a suppressor. But, after looking at them and their ammo.
I retract my last post on this subject. It seems to me that the 450B would be a prime candidate for sub sonic reloading. 1. the ammo they use is typically a very heavy bullet per caliber. Some are already exploring this. 2 is sub sonic “under 1000fps. The heavy weights are not far from that now. Seems to me that a 405grn.cast lead bullet over 20grn. of lil gun would fit the bill. “Just a WAG.”Not sure about the energy. But, It would still be a 45cal. hole. They already make suppressors for the 450B. http://www.qsmsilencers.com/
