Hi all, first post here and have some great news. Yesterday the Ohio Div of Wildlife formally approved changes to the list of rifles allowed and will now include 450 Bushmaster. The law now states all straight wall cartridges between .350 and .50. This mirrors Michigan and I believe Indiana. I'm sure there will be several more Buckeyes coming along soon to get on this train. I was able to get a used factory Bushmaster upper a few weeks ago so am ready to start the process all over again.
Great site!

not sure on Indiana but Michigan limited us to 1.800 case length which was still a big boost over typical slugs :)

Did they still keep you guys to a 3 shot limit?

Yes, still 3 shots total in gun. No max length on case. From what I hear the DNR really wanted to simplify things. makes it very easy for game wardens and Sheriff deputies to perform checks.

glad to hear that they're loosening things up with a little common sense down there.

as al said, we're limited to 35 caliber and up, min 1.6 max 1.800" case length, which the 450 BM easily slides into with a very effective combination of ballistics and knockdown power :)
