Follower for the lancer mags

Picked up a bush master and liked the lancer translucent poly mags with steel feed lips. Took a lot of modifying of followers to get one that worked and fit. Recently got a 3d printer and started playing around with making a follower that will fit the mags without modifying it. Got a first article printed out this evening and will start to play with it when i get my gun back from a buddy that borrowed it for deer season this weekend.

Very nice, Waiting to hear how it worked, and if you have to modify the mags lips so it works properly.

I'm just in the process of putting my 450 Ar together.

Will do. I have gotten the mags to work well modifying other followers. I haven’t had to mess with feed lips. The goal is to get a follower you plug and play with these mags. I love the translucent plastic body
With the rigid steel feed lips

Have a working follower now that a few guys are testing. Direct drop into the lancer mags. Only mod you have to do is play with cliping a couple coils off the spring to keep the rounds from pushing up between the feed lips. I ran mine mags with 7 rounds each this year in a 20rd mag. I could have gotten more i think if i clipped a little more off the spring.

They're bit pricey since they are CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum bar stock and then hard anodized.

I am new to the AR world and am in the process of building my own as we speak but for a newbie to this environment, would a lancer mag work with a 450 follower like this (https://www.ebay.com/p/Magazine-Follower-for-450-Bushmaster-Caliber/1531898506) or would you still to modify?

I tried the GI mag followers from ebay and they took a lot of modifying to get to work in the lancer mags.
