That's nice. I just used one of their side charger uppers to build my 450. I have to think if they would add that as a factory built option they would sell a ton. As is that's a killer deal.

I have been thinking about getting another sidecharger upper receiver and bolt carrier myself for my rifle. Using the regular upper receiver, when I mount the ATN scope, you can't use the charge handle to pull the bolt back, as the external battery pack case is in the way. You have to unstrap the battery pack pull the bolt back and mount the battery pack again.
I got one of the side charging upper receivers for my 6.5 Grendel rifle when it was on sale cheap recently. I plan on trying it out on it first and see how it works.

Wow! That's how much I paid for my Bushmaster upper back in 2010! though I did get one mag with it.

Great to see another option! If I didn't have a few already. I'd try one.

Hope the 450 barrels are better than their Grendel barrels

I bought one from Primary Arms and it sold out in about 5 minutes or so there. They had it on sale for 50% off.

has anyone here obtained one of these? i just found this post today (and this forum :) ) i am looking to replace my single shot 45-70, and i started pricing out a build based around a Franklin 20" barrel. it wouldnt be as cool as building the upper, but this BCA upper is $200 cheaper than my current upper build list, and cheaper than a 45-70 levergun, so that throws a monkey wrench in my plans!
thanks in advanced! im off to dig thru the depths of this forum :P
