I bought 40 rounds of 240grain JHPs last week. Shot the today along with the Hornady factory 250 FTXs. The Buffalo 240s shot nicely but an inch higher at 100 yards. I am sitting in one of my tree stands now with the 240 JHPs in my AR. But I have a mag of the XTPs in my pocket..I am hoping if a shot presents it self that the 240s stay together and make a clean kill. I am in a bow stand so most shots would be less than 25 yards but there are some out to 80 yards. Don't know why I am having doughts..I guess the 240 looks too much like a pistol bullet??

Don't know? I think it says 240 JHP on their web site. Shot 2 sows, first one at 12 yards low behind shoulder, knocked her down when I was looking for another hog to shoot she got up and ran 30 yards and piled up, lots of blood. I saw one at 60 yards, only saw front legs and head, had scope on 3 power since it was almost dark, dropped the second hog but bullet hit neck/shoulder making a mess of things, hog dropped at shot

i'm betting thats it. their 45.70 load that uses a similar looking bullet says its a sierra.

yeah looks like a sierra, think there was some discussion on that round awhile back

I hope it's not the Sierra bullet in the link as it's only rated to 1400fps
