I'm very impatient and just wanted to know about when do the 450 uppers go on sale?

Last year, Bushmaster had their sale IIRC around mid-March.

Does the bushmaster sale apply to 20" uppers as well?

Cabelas is listing the 16" upper only shipping in 32 days for $549 - http://www.cabelas.com/product/Bushmast ... l+Products.

I got my 20" in December from Midway for $600, but they are showing them out of stock and no backorder (and $749 if they did have them).

I looked back to last year's thread. They went on sale March 3rd for $499.00 from Bushmaster. Both the 16" and the 20", the latter was what I bought.

So figure in about 5 weeks, assuming they do it again this year.

Wow that's awesome. Now can you actually purchase off of bushmaster's website? I know you can't add anything to the cart. And do I need anything "special" like a license or anything to buy online?

I didn't have anything special. Just a debit or credit card. Just to be clear, that was for the upper. A complete firearm would obviously have to go through an FFL transfer. Also, some states treat assault weapon purchases like handgun purchases and if you're buying a complete firearm, you need to take care of the local paperwork before you can pick it up. Check your local/state laws so you have all your ducks in a row.

Cabela's is now listing the 16" version for $549.99 in their catalog.

Looks like the standard price has dropped.

Hopefully this will allow more 450b users and more options.

For the upper only, no particular papers are required. It can be shipped directly to you home. A complete weapon, or the lower, requires that the transfer go though a licensed dealer. Your local gun shop may be able to help (for a fee, probably, since they would rather you bought from them). Don't try this with an AR style weapon in California, the Denver city limits, or many other places where modern sporting rifles (often mis-identifed generically as "assault" weapons or by make and model in state or local regulations).

Note that gunbroker.com has several 450's listed, one as low as $935. I believe they have a list of FFL holders in your area, who could accept the shipment for you.
