Interesting that the mouth is the same OD as the rim but the base is wider. IE Same bolt head size as used in a 5.56x45 AR but the base is .014 wider, no doubt lending to the rebated rim tag. I'm guessing the factory rifles will use the smaller tolerance rim dimension to keep morons from putting a 5.56x45 round in there and firing it!
