I'm curious and don't know where to start. I'd like to buy a stripped lower but I don't want to spend a fortune on a stripped lower like what bushmaster offers. So what lowers out there are good and reliable and at a good price. Too, I don't want to have to mod the ejection port of the lower for the 450 so how I i avoid that. Thanks.

My brother gifted to me a Yankee Hill Machine stripped lower to start my .450b build. I have been very happy with it.

I think it's the upper you have to mod if you're building it yourself. I'm using a spikes tactical lower marked MULTI, they're great lowers and I got it for less than $80. Bought 2, have one with my .450 and another one mated up to a spikes midlength 5.56 upper.

Can i use bushmaster parts inside a non-bushmaster lower?

You can use bushmaster parts kit if you want, or any number of other lower parts kits out there.

You can also buy it already assembled, has to be shipped to an ffl either way.

If you've never built a lower, then do it at least once. If you have and want a good turnkey solution for the 450b, get a complete RRA A2 NM Lower for $299 and be done with it.

Hoot is right, build one at least once.

I am thinking about possibly building two lowers. One for the 450 Bushmaster
And one to have as a experimental.

Tell me more about that Yankee Hill lower. I could pick one up
Tomorrow if I knew for a fact it was gonna be a precision machining
and fit. I'm sort of wondering about the finish and if it will match
the finish of my Bushmaster Uppers. And for the price, I could buy
two.

Aside from an actual lower, YHM stuff I've bought (BCG, Risers, Charging Handle, LPK, etc) have been top shelf in dimensional tolerance and finish. Better than the DPMS stuff I've gotten lately.
