Bent extractor

Postby Top_prop » Sat Sep 14, 2019 6:39 pm

Gave my son a 450 BM for his youth hunt today... he went to empty it at the end and the round didn't extract but fell out... tore the bolt down and found the extractor was bent!

Anybody got a lead on just getting an extractor?

Only one I can find is on Tony's site: https://tromix.com/product/extractor/

Can get an entire 450 BCG here: https://www.bearcreekarsenal.com/bca-45 ... rier-group

Weird, first I've heard of a bent one.

Tromix about the only place I ever seen them.

Sounds like improper heat treat. Extractors usually break, not bend. What company?
Tromix stuff is gtg. Bear creek arsenal can be hit or miss sometimes, but quite a few people are running them with out issues.

Windham Weaponry has 450 extractors for $18.95. Sanders Armory has complete bolts for $59. I used one in my last build, and it’s gtg.

unless you bought it used where it was run hard and put away wet.... i would be contacting the manufacturer for a replacement.

clearly it sounds like a defective part.
