Idea for high capacity magazine

Well... sometimes I like a project.

Just ordered 3 of the steel 20 round straight magazines. Usually these can fit 6 or 7 450bm rounds. My theory is to cut the tops and bottoms off of 2 of them and weld all 3 together straight.

I think this may create a non-curved 18ish round 450bm magazine... Maybe...

Before I cut these magazines up, has anyone tried this already? Or anyone want to tell me why this probably will not work? Thoughts?

I would try stacking 2, make a custom spring, shim plates internally so rounds stay stacked perfectly, custom plunger/folower.

Perfect tig welding and it might just be workable.
